"1st Annual Mt Clemens Music Festival"

From the Detroit Rock Review - Wednesday, 23 September 2009

….a fantastic set from the newly re-named The MäB (formerly the Matt Austin Band). With a fresh new name & a fresh new drummer, Chris Castro, The MäB not only rocked a huge Hayloft crowd, but Matt Austin himself surprised the hell out of Dr2 by actually setting down his guitar, proceeding to become a true frontman like we've not seen from these guys ever! Amazingly fresh, amazingly good, but beyond all else, The MäB proved beyond a doubt that they are for real! Turning a crowd into a rabid mob…

Discography

Matt Austin released a 5 song self titled EP in 2007 with 2 of the 5 songs being local Detroit radio singles. Those tracks titled "Your Enemy" and "Between the Lines" got radio play on Detroit's top 2 rock stations.

More recently, The MäB are working on finishing a debut full length album, pre-releasing a 3 song single and 5 songs to iTunes and Amazon mp3. As a result, The MäB have over 100,000 plays on MySpace with "Detroit Throwdown" hitting Detroit Rock City in a big way, and making The MäB the #1 band on a station in Colorado, as well as getting airplay in Germany. To follow that successful single, are new hit tracks titled "Drama Queen" and "Fly On". Al Slayer from 101.1 WRIF said "I have a feeling... Drama Queen is the song."

Bio

The MäB (pronounced ‘the mob’)

From Webster's Dictionary: "MäB...an organized gang of musicians hell bent to turn order into chaos, arousing the masses from a state of under-stimulation to new levels of group ecstasy."

The MäB have built amazing fan support in Michigan and are now developing a name outside the state, around the USA & the world.

In the past two years, The MäB have opened for big named national bands at the largest venues in Michigan including Tesla at The Fillmore, and Def Leppard and Styx at DTE Energy Music Theatre. Previously Matt Austin has opened for Bon Jovi at The Palace, Seether, Vince Neil (Motley Crue), and more....

The MäB are about guitar driven songs powered by singer Matt Austin's gritty lead vocals. The Detroit Rock Review said of The MäB’s performance at the 1st Annual Mt Clemens Music Festival on Sept 19, 2009…."a fantastic set… a fresh new drummer, Chris Castro… The MäB not only rocked a huge Hayloft crowd, but Matt Austin himself surprised the hell out of Dr2 by actually setting down his guitar, proceeding to become a true frontman like we've not seen from these guys ever!
