The Mahlors

The Mahlors are a band from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The band was formed in 2008 by Justin Jones (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Kevin Gresh (rhythm guitar and lead vcals), two best friends for a love of reggae and punk rock music. The duo used to reside in Justin's home studio and record song after song. After many months of recording they realized they needed to put a band together to perform these songs in public. The Mahlors picked up their friend TJ Haslett on drums and he instantly clicked with the group. The Mahlors have tried out a few bassists before they found the missing piece. Anthony Villar amazed the group with his bass skills and was immediately invited to play with the group.
Around the summer of 2009, the band was racking up gig after gig. The Mahlors were the soundtrack of Doylestown during that summer, and everybody came to see them. Everybody wanted to hear the reggae rock vibes mixed with the ska, punk, and dub elements. The Mahlors began to sport a classic attribute, the suit. This black and white theme became a theme for most Mahlors shows and is now a tradition. The band continued to woo everyone of all ages, and even seemed to be more popular among parents. This was a great success due to the fact that nobody in the band is over 18.
After many summer gigs, the band stepped into Justin's studio to cut their first CD as a band. The recording process took about a week to complete and their self titled CD was out by the end of the summer. The band sold over 100 self packaged copies until they got the CD's professionally made. The CD, still a hit in the local community, is now available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Rhapsody, and Napster among others. Around late November, the band stepped back into the studio to cut their second CD entitled "Give In". The new album features explosive new tracks, epic remakes, and funny skits. The CD will be released in March.
