Bio

The Main Men were formed in 2009 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Their music is a mix between rock, folk, and progressive rock; heavily influenced by the classic rock movement. A modern analogue might be a Guster or Tim Myers. The Main Men consist of Mike Johnson, (19), on lead vocals and guitars; Chris Kim, (18), on keyboards, Bryant Millet, (20) on vocals and bass, and Zack Levine, (19), on percussion. In addition, Chris is a classically trained violinist and Bryant a classically trained trumpeter. The Main Men first played together at an impromptu jam to the Beatles' Abbey Road. This led to a close friendship between the members until eventually they began to write together. From February to May 2009, they recorded their first full-length debut album in their home studio. This self-titled album will be available for purchase in Mid-June, and available on I-tunes and other digital music retailers in Mid-July. Currently, The Main Men are focusing on playing local gigs around Evanston and Chicago to expand their fan base. If you would like to contact The Main Men, send them an email at mainmenjkm@gmail.com.
