The Mandrake merge the gap between death metal and power metal with their intense, pounding rhythms and double-axe attack. Teetering on the line of the old school and new, the dual vocals twist from Halford-like screams to the high shrieks of death and black metal. And of course, no metal record would be complete without the searing dual guitar leads and heavily palm muted fleet of guitar riffs. Bottom line: THIS IS SHRED!

The NEW Mandrake was formed in 2009. The guys came together as a team with a serious plan for success in 2010 and beyond.
Starting with 8 mind blowing, technical yet melodic heavy tracks and a kick ass live show. After test marketing the new music, it wasn’t long before things started to happen. Crowd response was HUGE, local album sales were out of hand and before long, a North American distribution deal presented itself with C.A.M Entertainment.
Now with a release date set for mid January and a tour to begin the week after, The Mandrake looks to bring their brand of unique metal to the national stage just for starters.
The forth coming album “Black Prophecy” will be sold exclusively at strategic Best Buy and Hot Topic stores. Nation wide, radio play and publicity will begin shortly before the CD release date.
