Bio

Kirkbride, a footballing magnet and top-notch cabaret chantuce who has played with many bands including Oasis, Noel Gallagher and Woodbine, discovered his talent of song-writing with TakaHashi, a Japanese born artist who was abducted but brought back by Paul Daniels as a manga character, assassin’s top chef, Koko, with her “doesn’t give a fuck” approach of making up guitar codes after leaving 1940’s 50’s 60’s 70’s cover band, Damaged Troll back in late 2008. The Marbles Jackson was born in 2009. Gibson, a former speech writer for Ian Paisley (£1 for each speech, remember “never, never, never!”?) and Gwynne, the strange son of Roger McGuinne from the Byrds, joined the duo in 2011 and started performing live as a four-piece band in late 2011.

Hackney’s finest, The Marbles Jackson is a live band, will blow you away with a gentle breeze at first and then like a lion in March, and has so far played in London, Reading, Dozy-on-Sea, Boozy-on-Trent and Loony-upon-Tyne.
