The two brothers in the Markets love all rock music, from The Velvet Underground to Tortoise, synthesizing everything they've heard into a hybrid mixture sounds and approaches. The two members of the Markets manage to meld the paranoid electronic hum of Radiohead and Beck with the melodic vulnerability of Nada Surf and Death Cab for Cutie. Yet, their love of straight-up rock draws them comparisons to bands like Foo Fighters and Pedro the Lion.
