Biography

The Marsden Lees are a Sunshine Coast based indie rock trio. Mid 2009 saw brothers; Aaron Wynne (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Synth), Jared Wynne (Drums, Vocals) and long time friend Paul Ziakas (Bass, Vocals, Synth) coming together to form an energetic, upbeat and vibrant brand of pop/rock. Late 2009 and 2010 have seen the band make a strong impact on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane music scene, playing numerous shows, steadily increasing an already enthusiastic fan base. Having played Caloundra Music Festival (2009,2010), The Great Noosa Campout as well as RIPE Noosa Festival has seen the band gaining experience playing alongside national and international touring acts. In August 2010 The Marsden Lees independently released their debut EP 'Vices' which in its first two months was received well by fans and critics alike having thousands of plays and downloads online.

The online tracks from the EP debuted at the top of the Triple J Unearthed Pop Charts for the month of August and early November. Following this, in Aus Music Month (November, Triple J) the band received national radio play on Triple J numerous times throughout the month. January 2011 has had the band starting the year strong with music video "Pretty Little Girls" being aired on Channel 10.

The band is currently writing and are set to continue with their energetic live show throughout 2011 promoting Vices, with touring through April and May. The trio continue to impress friends and fans alike with an unforgettable live show and fresh sound that has been turning heads and moving feet.
