Bio
FOLLOWING the success of their performance on the BBC's Introducing Stage at the T in the Park music festival last year and the release of their critically-acclaimed Nashville-recorded EP 'Landline' - that saw the band win over journalists, DJs and musical peers with their brand of passionate pop-rock - THE MARS PATROL can now reveal plans for their much-anticipated follow-up EP which will be completed with Grammy Nominated Producer/Mixer, Tim Palmer.
Landline was recorded at the home of country music (Nashville, Tennessee), mixed by Jon Bailey (Coldplay, Radiohead, Travis) at London's Air Studios, and mastered in Los Angeles by Grammy award-winner, Brian Gardner (Michael Jackson, Eminem, Linkin Park), the results are exactly what you would expect: a slick, masterly produced, high-octane explosion of carefully crafted power-pop pomp.
Indeed, the group's instantly accessible lead single THAT'S WHAT YOU GET hits you like a flashing meteorite. Telling the story of lead singer Davina Divine's journey to make something good happen in a bad world crushed by negativity; the cosy, lyrical vibes are subtly complimented by guitarist Ross Nelson's fuzzy-warm guitar sound. The perfect accompaniment for those long, dark winter nights ahead, it not only gleams like a diamond in an ice-storm, it's shinier than a star within the brightest constellation.
