"All Your Base Are Belong To Us"

Keyboard-fronted trio The Marvels release their new single on 18 March 2011. With a title from a Japanese video game mistranslation internet meme, 'All Your Base Are Belong To Us' is a moody punk foot-stomper with a piano riff that is the sleek European monorail to rock and roll’s clanky steam engine. The track will be available for download on iTunes and Spotify and the B side is catchy New Romantic-inspired ‘Kisses and Breathing’.

"support the vivians"

The Marvels' tight rhythm section operated as a canvas for the talents of the lead vocalist and pianist extraordinaire, whose dexterity on the keys was duly appreciated by the crowd. In particular, ‘Three Versions of Time’ recalls the high-pitched romantic musings of Air Traffic, while the excellent ‘Kissing and Breathing’ is as bouncy and catchy as anything by The Hoosiers - Dan Moss - The Journal
