The Mashed Potatoes

The Mashed Potatoes

 Elmhurst, Illinois, USA

All covers, mostly '60s and '70s stuff, but all over the place really. The group, some of whom had played together for years before and all of whom share a love of great music, have hours of material ready for your enjoyment! Thanks for reading(and listening)!

Influences? All kinds of good music. Soul, classic pop, garage rock, Motown, Stax...
What sets them apart? Well, they don't play any originals, but try to make the songs they cover their own. Some of the best pop music ever written, in their opinion THE BEST, well played by good friends, old and new.
Their story? Brad Smith(bass, vocals) started the group back in February 2010, but had been planning it out for a long time before. He'd been playing covers for years by himself(solo gigs, sandwich shops), and figured it was time to take what he'd learned to the next level!

As of now, nothing.
The Mashed Potatoes prides itself on being a band you really have to hear IN A LIVE SETTING. There are samples for listenin' on their website( All the songs they play have already been recorded, anyways!
