With the tribal elements of percussion and didgeridoo complimenting thundering rhythmic grooves & dynamic song structures with infectious vocal hooks TMO have created their own distinct sound and niche within the alternative rock scene. With a string of mind blowing performances The Meaning Of have established a strong live reputation supporting touring acts such as Helmet (US), Hell Yeah (US), COG, The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool, Seven, Contrive, Frankenbok & performed on festivals including Big Day Out, Vans Warped, WA's WAMi Festivals, Gozzy Rock & Metal For The Brain. TMO has featured on compilations including Next Big Thing 2004, Kiss My WAMI 2006, was selected for the opening track on the Kiss My WAMI "Sometime Saturday" Compilation 2005, will appear on the new FMX Motocross DVD and also took out the WAM Song of the Year 2004 Competition in the Heavy Rock/Metal category for the track Bay Of Martyrs. The new single "For You" is the first official release since 2003's award winning album, "What Is Your Excuse?" and the first taste of the forthcoming album, "The Alligator Festival" due for release on February 16th 2008. All tracking for the new album has been recorded at Wing Command Studios with Adam Spark (Birds Of Tokyo, Hope Here Gone) and is currently over east getting mixed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Full Scale, Helmet).
