Bio
The Meat Hawks were formed during the blustery November of 2009 in St. Louis, MO. The band's founding members (Jason, Jared and Scott) initially came together to talk about their unfaltering love of Dances With Wolves and Game Genie, but soon realized that their fate was to jam the hell out of punk and funk infused indie rock. Months of searching and auditioning various vocalists had the Hawks' concerned that they would never find the perfect voice that would fit their energetic, fast-paced style of rock. Greg actually joined the boy-band sensation once before being brutally (and ignorantly) denied a spot on the Meat Hawk roster. In an 8-bit dream, Kevin Costner told the guys that Greg's voice would prove to be the final puzzle piece that would complete their music, and they listened. Don't worry, Greg forgave them, and they've been rockin' ever since.
Since the dust settled, The Meat Hawks have begun booking local venues, riding stallions nude in Czechoslovakia, and recently released their self-produced eight track EP, "Hide The Knives." Each track has its own unique flavor, but they all clearly share that cultured and graceful Meat Hawk pungency that makes listeners stop and actually pay attention. With stand out songs like Cars on Fire, Kings of Herculaneum, Hydroponic Supersonic Ultraman and Ozone Bleeder, The Meat Hawks are building a following of cut-throat fans that never miss an upcoming gig.
