The Mello Outs combine quiet, intricate, lush, and loud with such fluidity that makes it all seem effortless. Their signature sound has heavy emphasis on surf guitar effects with solid backing rhythm. They're main influences are drawn from Pixies/90's alternative and 60's surf guitar.
The Mello Outs played their first show in April of 2003 at the legendary Satyricon Showcase Showdown Battle of the Bands, in which they took 1st place.
