The Melodic Drifters were born in 2007 when the main songwriters Allenmichael Simon and Darren Lovio decided to form a band.Allenmichael(lead vocals) hails from New Orleans and has performed with many original as well as cover bands in the Austin and Dallas areas.Darren(lead guitar) is from Iowa and has played in several rock,blues and country bands in and around the Austin metroplex.Joel Godson(bass) arrived in Austin from Vancouver and has played in several bands in both cities.Michael Mirasole(drums) our newest addition has been playing in bands since he was 12 years old! We have a wealth of experience and talent that is evident at our shows as well as on our cd.
