"taxi.com critique of Once Before"

"An intimate, melancholy love song with good dynamics in the vocal and lots of heart. You have a compelling voice, with lots of soulfulness, wonderful phrasing, excellent control and inflection. I think you could sing anything and make it sound good"

"WIth it's kick ass vocal, intimate arrangement, artful lyrics, this song meets the request of the listing for eclectic indie singer songwriters with unique musical perspectives. Good job."

"Only one song? Just makes me want to hear more. You have a distinctive voice with lots of flexibility"

"The vocal delivery and guitar playing are solid on this song. The momentum takes a jump when the band kicks in, and the dynamics continue to rise and fall throughout the rest of the song in an engaging way, nice work."

"Thanks for submitting this song for this listing. Your band has a great sound, and the production value on this track is high, blending rich tones while maintaining separation" - taxi.com

Bio

The Band is: Nathan Foulon(guitar and vocals), Scott Cassidy (bass and backing vocals), David Lester (guitar and keys), and Garry Barratt (drums)

Our music highlights our love of and exposure to a multitude of musical genres. More specifically, our compositions blend folk, blues, rock, funk and reggae influences. We also do some improvisational ‘jamming’ to generate new ideas, but mostly just to enjoy the spontaneity of the process.

We want to assure our followers that many more songs are in the works and we will be performing and recording them very soon.

From Peterborough, Ontario, Nathan Foulon moved to Kingston, Ontario to attend St Lawrence College in 2004 for Digital Arts for Musicians. It was at St. Lawrence that Foulon met Cassidy and Lester. Barret became the most recent member of the four-piece after working alongside Foulon at a local music store, Center Stage Music.

After writing a number of songs and creating a demo, Foulon got the rest of his band mates to contribute their own ‘takes’ on his compositions. The band entered the studio with the intention of releasing a demo but emerged with a full-length album in 2010
The band plans to establish a loyal and interested fan base comprised of people with enthusiasm for music.
