"The Melophobics Live"

Martin Stapleton Bedford Esquires - Altogether more uplifting and armed with a stack of good material are St Neots youngsters The Melophobics (I like the band name for some obscure reason!). Their body language is positive and they are primed for action right from the start. Enthusiastically, they gave us a song called "Two Steps Forward and One Step Back". The appropriately titled "Summer Song" and, especially "Reality", kept my toes tapping endlessly throughout - Bedford Esquires - Martin Stapleton

Performance:
Energy
We thought your tracks had rousing energy that moved us as listeners. You sound confident in your musical skills and the parts you're playing.

Instruments - Lead
We felt the instrumental leads on the tracks were tuneful, interesting and well-articulated. There's no overplaying here, and nothing seems to be lacking either. Spot on.
Vocals - Lead
Lead vocals are the first thing that most listeners pay attention to, so a great performance is essential. Your lead vocals really grabbed us. We don't tag a lot of releases as having great lead vocals, so this is an excellent strength for you to have.
Songwriting:
Hook
Ah, the elusive hook. A great hook can redeem a troubled song, or get a great payday for a top-notch band. Your hooks grabbed us. Excellent work.
Song Structure
We thought the songs had a logical structure and all the parts were distinct. A good structure generally has both repetition and surprise, and we thought you nailed it.

Bio

Three of us have been writing and performing as The Melophobics for the past three years. We have played in many venues across London and Cambridgeshire and have always had a good reception from our audiences.
During the past few years we as a band have gained a lot of knowledge and experience and feel that the band is now ready to become professional.
we have recorded a four track E.P titled "You Obviously Know Our Opinions" along with three more songs that we have not included on the E.P as we are using these tracks for promotions and to keep for single release opportunities.
We are in the process of practising and refining all of the tracks on our E.P so that we can play to our best ability.
We hope to further spread our music across the UK, we have been compared to The Libertines, Foals and Kids in Glass Houses and hope to become as successful as these bands who are an inspiration to us.
