The Mercy Bends

With varying individual musical backgrounds ranging from The Ramones to the Stones, and from Neil Young to James Brown, the harmony of influences makes for a solid, unique, and intriguing sound and feel. A mesh of NYC natives, and uprooted Upstate NY-ers forms this relatively new (2006) band, who are compared to the Pixies and Cheap Trick. Rock with a powerful alternative feel. Five member band with strong vocals, solid bass, intoxicating and graphic guitars, solid but sovereign drum and percussion work. The Mercy Bends formed in 2006. Performances throughout Tribeca, SoHo, and Williamsburg, as well as NJ and Philadelphia.
