The Mermen, used to be a rap group called Dagger and after that band went their separate ways the Mermen rose from the sea's to bring there message to the masses.
We don't really have anything serious to write about like feelings or relationships, so most of the songs are funny stories about our lives eg. doing it in the back seat of your first car, house parties, pucking in grade 9, Wolves from outer space etc...
We love the tight vocal harmony sound of bands like The Beatles and Toto, so we really get off applying that to our own indie pop rock sound.
