The Mescal Sheiks

BandBluesFunk

Alternative R & B with twist of Memphis and a New Orleans shake!

Biography

Formed in 2004 - The Mescal Sheiks are Los Angeles-based musicians and songwriters who first collaborated on various Hangan Brothers projects.

Now, drawing collectively from their culturally diverse backgrounds in the New York, Chicago, Arkansas and L.A. music scenes, they have combined a unique blend of ingredients to create their own dynamic gumbo -- sometimes greasy, often funky, inevitably rootsy, and always soulful!

In January 2007 the Sheiks began the "Second Wind Sessions" - writing and recording 24 new songs with the initial release from the Sessions in November 2008 and ending in March 2010.

In March 2008 the Sheiks will begin producing a monthly "Sunday Night with the Mescal Sheiks" in
Los Angeles.
