This progressive, funky quartet actually played its very first show before ever rehearsing together. But these gentlemen of jazz have really made a name for themselves in Rochester over the past couple of years. Their instrumental compositions are chock full of energy and the band exhibits a knack for finding seriously danceable grooves within its free-flowing, improvisational platform. The Rochester, NY music scene is loaded with players. The Meta Accord met while trying to get their foot in the door of the local scene. Before there was a rehearsal, guitarist/leader Jeremy Laursen booked some gigs. The band showed up and stepped up. That was 3 years ago.
Currently the band is making a name for itself with its original style of jamband jazz. A typical live performance will feature everything from beautiful ambience, upbeat danceable grooves to high energy jams.
