Bio
The Miasmics are, seven guys, from the great state of New Jersey. Playing together for roughly 6 years we've compiled a rather eclectic sound that seems to please people of almost all ages and excite fans of all genres. Song writing is shared amongst the members, which helps to add flavor to the repertoire because of each member's personal taste. Two of the three demo tracks, Losin' It and Maybe I Should Go were recorded and produced with the help of ska legend, King Django in his home studio. It's About Time, which appears on their independently released LP, Let's Go Get 'Em!, was recorded elsewhere and a remix of the track by Rob 'Bucket' Hingley (of the world famous band, The Toasters), appears on the much anticipated ska compilation, Still Standin'(Jump Up Records/Megalith Records).
Currently the band is recording their new album which is to be titled “You Gotta Trust It” at Version City Studios with King Django. The album will include thirteen tracks of original Miasmic material that ranges in style from, ska to metal to funk to salsa.. The album is expected to be independently released sometime in April or May of 2005.
