The Midnight Carnival

The Midnight Carnival began with the chance meeting in the winter of 2010. Sharing similar hopes and frustrations about their own music, it felt natural for them to collaborate, and so the songs they have crafted since have followed one simple ethos; that music should be felt, and not just heard. Their songs spawn from real life, but are designed to spur the imagination and let the mind wander. Ambient, atmospheric textures rich in melody and harmony carry lyrics dealing with a wider range of emotions than their contemporaries. Hope, despair, love, loss, freedom, and abandonment are subjects bellowed from their voices, pulling focus on the pathos of real life events, opposed to descriptive story telling.
With a handful of acoustic gigs under their belt from the tail end of 2011, their plan for 2012 is to make substantial waves on the Liverpool music scene.The Midnight Carnival have come to town, and they have their act together.
