The best kept secret in music
Press
When Billy Thompson, Matt Wilkinson, and Mike Skillings started playing music together 2 years ago, they had no idea what to expect. They all had experience in other groups and Billy and Mike are both Berklee College of Music alumni. But when they first played together they all spoke about a "magic" that happened. And that "magic" was witnessed by 500+ at the famous Canoe Club in West Bridgewater on Saturday Night. The band, called the Midnight Shakedown, held their debut CD release party at the famed venue for a packed house of family and friends. During the course of the 3-set show, the band showcased songs from it's fantastic new CD, as well as great versions of classic rock songs such as Led Zeppelin's Dazed and Confused, and Van Halen's Hot For Teacher. The band immediately whipped the crowd into a frenzy and didn't let up all night. A fantastic band, and yes, a "magical" night of music
