Bio

Mohawk Dave, Ryan Nixon and Alysson Venom were formally members of the Queens punk band Test Specimen, which disbanded in 2007. In 2010 guitarist Mohawk Dave, bassist Ryan Nixon and lead vocalist Alysson Venom joined together once again, starting The Minor Cuts and recording their first demo. In 2011 the joining of drummer Bre Plaza as a permanent member solidified the lineup and made The Minor Cuts one of the most energetic and powerful sounding Punk Rock and Roll bands coming up in the scene. The Minor Cuts are currently recording their full length debut album and playing live around NYC. All songs are written and recorded by The Minor Cuts in their Queens studio, Red Spade Studios.

The Minor Cuts first official show was in December 2011 at R Bar (2 blocks from where CBGB's used to be). The show was a benefit for their long time good friend Steve Mach, who was the bassist in renowned bands such as Charm School and Skin and Bones. Steve was a long time employee of CBGB's working his magic on lighting, and had booked the members of the Minor Cuts since their early teenage years. The Minor Cuts were honored to play their first show in his memory, surrounded by their friends from the CBGB community.
