Bio
The Miracle Waters formed in the fall of 2009, after Guitarist Chris Mosley returned to Austin following four years in Portland, Oregon, and began playing with long-time Austin Bassist (and founding member of the Chris Duarte Group), John Jordan. The trio was soon completed as they added drummer John Bush (of Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians), acquired their Miraculous moniker, and began honing their approach to what they term 'Natural American Music'. Melding the approaches and textures of Rock, Folk, Blues and Jazz, as well as more global influences such as Malian and Hi Life music from Africa, and Raga-inflected Eastern sounds, they create textures around their songs that are both down-home and ethereal; at once high-minded and genuinely low-brow. In the end, though, The Miracle Waters are three accomplished musicians just playing what they love - Natural American Music.
