Derel "Sir Clef Haynes" was born on December 25 1986 in Philadelphia
pa.
Growing up in the church he knew that he wanted to do music so at the
age of 6 he started to take music lessons @ Philly's prestige's music
school Settlement Music School for Percussion and Piano by the age of 11
he was an
classical violinist and pianist for the Philadelphia youth orchestra
.during on of his performances with the orchestra he was notice by
Jeffery Towns aka legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff (from the group dj jazzy Jeff
and the fresh prince) and was taken under his wing and his production
team(A Touch of Jazz Productions which consists on super producers
Andre
Harris & Vidal Davis, Carvin Haggins & Ivan Barras, Keith Pelzer &
Darren Hendson (Clef's Uncles) and learned the first stages of music
production. Under their leadership he worked with such artist as
Will Smith, Kenny Latimore, Floetry, Joe, Jill Scott, Muziq , Bilah ,
Glenn Lewis, The Roots, Ryan Toby (from the movie sister act 2 & the R &
B group City High) Lil Kim, & Boys II Men and such Supper producers as
Scott Storch, Teddy Rilly, Timberland, Just Blaze & others. Now @ the
age of 21 he has stepped out their their shadow & now resides in Atlanta
ga working with such artist as Jay z ,freeway, Charlie Baltimore , Lil
Wayne, latif, Gille the kid ,Lloyd, Grand Hustle Entertainment, D Woods
(from bad boy's Danity Kane) E Ness (from bad boy's da band),Peedi
Peedi, Kelly Rowland, Robin Thick, Keisha Cole, Vivian Green, & B5.
