Bio
The collective came to be after Michel Polgar and Sergio Mucino bumped into each other in 2014 at a rock concert. Polgar, a singer songwriter, was at a point where he felt it was time to create with other musicians and saw in Mucino (guitars), someone who could bring his music to another level.
They were soon after joined by Patrick Gervais on drums... a longtime collaborator of Polgar! The trio would work on the material for several months before being joined in dec 2015 by Laurent Chaput on bass who would complete the roster. Thus was born Them Machines!
Their sound is an eclectic blend of moody atmospheric, sometimes hard driven guitar oriented Rock, backed by a steady rhythm section and laced with thought provoking lyrics that speak to the listener directly.
If one were to point out a reoccurring theme here, it would be that of "Simplicity" over "Self Righteous Experimentation" and always "Cerebrally Engaging"
Influences: Bowie, Zeppelin, Floyd, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Beatles, Tragically Hip, Portishead, Doors, Pixies, U2, STP, QOTSA ...to name but a few!
