The Monobloggers

The Monobloggers

BandRockAlternative

We combine the melodic classicism of British bands like The Beatles and Teenage Fanclub with the fizzy grunge pop of Dinosaur Jr and The Lemonheads, creating something that boasts the musculary melody of the Britpop scene with the distorted college rock of early '90s USA.

Biography

The Monobloggers formed in January 2009 and since then they have steadily risen through the ranks to become one of the more original sounding and authentically enjoyable alt rock bands in the Midlands. After supporting pedigree unsigned talent last fall they began playing headline dates of their own, playing to packed crowds in small venues but building up a vast and loyal fanbase. They recorded their debut EP with legendary producer Gavin Monaghan (Kings of Leon, Editors, Ocean Colour Scene) and have also had articles in Express & Star and NME. Combining the melodic grunge rock of the American '90s scene, bands such as Dinosaur Jr, The Lemonheads and Presidents of the United States of America, with the British melodic muscularity of The Beatles, Teenage Fanclub and Idlewild has seen them create some original, individual and brilliantly infectious rock music.

"Clattering grunge rock brilliance" - NME Magazine
"Edgy, youthful and enjoyable" - Express & Star
"Trashy, melodic and fun, with an individual sound" - Mark Morriss (The Bluetones)
"A good variety of tunes you have there which demonstrates versatility. The strong vocals and catchy lyrics should give you a good basis to develop for the future." - Ovation Music Management
