Bio

The Monster In Us. is a 4-piece progressive rock band from Los Angeles, Ca. With no bounderies, The Monster In Us attempts to explore and extend the depths within music. We strive to create whole worlds within our songs and the listeners mind, making our music ever expanding and limitless.

The band began over the summer of '08. Starting out as a group of friends just jamming and making music, later evolving into organized chaos. With the current state of the music business, The Monster In Us was started with one strong goal. Reignite the love between a band & it's audience, and change the state of rock music in the industry. It is with that in mind, the band takes the stage with an audible presentation that hopefully enlightens the mind. During Summer '09 the band began writing their first record. The band began recording with producer Carlos De La Garza at Music Friends Studio in November '09. Our debut full-length, "The Lines That Blink&Blur", will be released November 16th, 2010 The Monster In Us has played roughly 20 shows throughout Southern California at venues such as The Roxy, The Whiskey, The Key Club, No Future Cafe, Hollywood Park, Safari Sams, And Regent Theatre.

Each member has a unique taste in music, resulting in a cluster of styles mixed into our song recipe's. With influences ranging from Classic Rock to Hip Hop, this band leaves no room for limits when writing. Although individual influences within the band span the world of music, everyone in The Monster In Us has one common goal, change the relationship of rock music and it's fans. With huge influences stemming from bands like Pink Floyd and The Doors, The Monster In Us strives to reignite the romance between a band and an audience, that once was. Everyone in the band agrees that there isn't enough passion or stage prescense extending from bands to the audience these days, and we all plan on changing that for good. So with an open mind, give us a moment of your time. I promise, you'll be glad you stayed.
