"Flying to the Moon"

Last night I heard a band that in many ways was offensive. I was in a bar called The Dog House and there were four boys looking very young calling themselves The Moons. With the smell of beer and whiskey in the air these boys were singing about Jesus, the devil, death, and the overall misery that we all have in life. In the Garden at Midnight was one the most terrifying songs I've ever heard. And, the way they scream out "I shot him again" on the song Johnny Reaves you would have thought that they actually had killed someone. At the very least they've given very serious thought about killing someone. After the show they gave me two of their albums "Evil Man Blues" and "Lonesome Road." The last track of "Lonesome Road" is a bone-chilling song called "In Death I shall be Free." It was shocking to hear someone so young write something like this. The lead singer Wes Clark says they've stained the Hiway with the blood and the blues and I believe every word he said. Either way I was too scared to disagree with him. What I can definitely say about this band is that they are going somewhere.
