Biography

Meet the Moore Brothers, the pride of central Pennsylvania with one of the best entertainment shows in the East. They are the ultimate country-rock band that is at home with traditional country and roots music as well as contemporary country and rock. The Moore Brothers come from a musical family of fifteen children. They are comprised of four brothers, Rick, Mike, Bill, and John and also feature Mike's wife Janie. The brothers started playing professionally with their father's country band when they were just small children. Today they are one of the most polished, professional show bands in the country. Because they have entertained so many different kinds of audiences, it is only natural that their music would reflect a wide variety of musical tastes. They are one of the few bands that can play it all - New Country, Traditional Country, Classic Rock, Big Band, and so much more. The Brothers have played states all over the country including, Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, New York, Alabama, and West Virginia. They have even entertained the United States Marines at Paris Island

Lyrics

The Woman I Kiss In The Mornin'

Written By: John Moore

Performed by The Moore Brothers

THERE’S ONE THING I DON’T LIKE ABOUT LOVE

AND YOU JUST MIGHT AGREE

IT’S A COLD HARD FACT THAT LOVE IS FILLED

WITH PAIN AND MISERY

IT CAN BE TOUGH AND IT CAN BE HARD

BUT THAT’S ALRIGHT WITH ME

CAUSE THE WOMAN I LOVE IS IN IT FOR GOOD

AND SHE’S ALL THAT I NEED

CHORUS:
THERE’S ONE SURE THING THAT I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN

IT’S THE ONE SURE THING THAT ALWAYS KEEPS ME GOIN’

IS THAT THE WOMAN I KISS IN THE MORNIN’

IS GONNA BE THERE WHEN I GET HOME

THE WOMAN I KISS IN THE MORNIN’

IS GONNA BE THERE…WHEN I GET HOME

THERE’S TOO MUCH TALK ABOUT LAWYERS AND SUCH

AND NOT ENOUGH ABOUT LOVE

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO WORKIN’ THINGS OUT

WHEN THINGS START GETTING’ TOUGH

WELL I DON’T KNOW WHAT OTHERS MAY DO

I JUST KNOW ABOUT ME

CAUSE THE WOMAN I LOVE IS WAITIN’ AT HOME

AND SHE’S ALL THAT I NEED

REPEAT CHORUS

NOW I KNOW YOU KNOW WHAT I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT

BUT YOU’RE WONDERIN’ IS IT REAL

WELL LET ME TELL YOU RIGHT UP FRONT

MY WOMAN SHE’S THE REAL DEAL

I KNOW IT’S TOUGH I KNOW IT’S HARD

BUT THAT’S ALRIGHT WITH ME

CAUSE THE WOMAN I LOVE IS IN IT FOR GOOD

AND SHE’S ALL THAT I NEED

REPEAT CHORUS

Credit To You

Written By: John Moore

Performed by The Moore Brothers

If I ever did anything good
Time and again I got the credit
Even when I knew you really should
Nobody knew, cause nobody said it

And I always got credit for being so strong
Though you were the strength in my life all along
So if I must give credit where credit is due
I give all the credit to you

If you ask me my reason to live
Got to be you who gets the credit
You make my love so easy to give
And girl only you will ever get it

And it's you who gets credit for being the light
That led me through storms on the darkest of nights
So for everything good my whole life through
I give all the credit to you

And it's you who gets credit for being the light
That led me through storms on the darkest of nights
So for everything good my whole life through
I give all
I give all
I give all the credit to you

Don’t be headin for the door

Got a little something don’t want you to miss
Rock and roll guitars that go like this

We’re gonna rock

Eight-Bar Intro

Written By: John Moore

Chorus:
Just give me an Eight-Bar intro if you wanna hear me sing the blues
Before I'm ready to solo, I just got to get myself in tune
We'll go to four bars that I know, but the other four you can choose
Just give me an Eight-Bar intro if you wanna hear me sing the blues

We'll start things off at the Mad Dog, then we'll head up to the old Ritz Grill
We'll drive on out to the Crossroads, on the way we'll hit the Whiskey Mill
Let's make one stop at the Dew Drop, then any other place you choose
Just give me an Eight-Bar intro if you wanna hear me sing the blues

Repeat Chorus

Pretty soon my voice will be ready
I'll be crankin' out some mighty fine tunes
If my body's still standin' steady
Later on I'll be howlin' at the moon
So tag along if you want to, if you really wanna be amused
Just give me an Eight-Bar intro if you wanna hear me sing the blues

A Great Country Song

Written By: John Moore

He was sittin' in the last booth at the end of the bar
When a young man came up to him and said I know who you are
You're one of the greatest writers that ever came along
So I thought I would ask you how you write a great country song

So the old man said I'll tell you how I've come to write some songs
It's worked for me a few times, but you might think it's wrong
It's really kinda simple if you want it to sound true
Just lose everything you ever loved and feel like I do

Chorus:
You got lose a woman
And be crazy in love
And when you can't live without her
Don't expect that to be enough
You got to have your heart broken
In a million little pieces then you'll never go wrong
If you put that to music
You got a great country song

So the young man sadly left him with a different frame of mind
Cause what he heard was gonna be too hard for him to rhyme
Cause his heart was never broken he's been happy way too long
And he knew that he would never write a great country song

Repeat chorus

Voices From The Other Side

Written By: John Moore

Voices From The Other Side
By: John Moore

Chorus:
Voices from the other side
Voices that were silenced by (Last time: Voices that once lived then died)
An unexpected turn in life
Makes voices from the other side

Hi Mom, it's Brad
Youv'e been losing sleep most every night
I know how you felt the day I died
At the hospital you cried
You kept saying you didn't even say goodbye
But don't worry 'bout all that, cause I'm happy where I'm at
And I love you as much as I did then
Here on the other side

Repeat Chorus:

Hey Dad, it's Mike
I want you to laugh again for me
I'm not sorry that I went to war
Or that my life was cut short
I'm just thankful that I had you in my life
Cause you taught me what was right and you showed me that this life's
A stepping stone to some place better still
Here on the other side

Repeat Chorus:

Hi honey, it's John
I know you've been missing me so much
Though it seems unfair to you right now
I'm still part you somehow
And God knows that our love will never die
It's so hard to understand, but it's all part of His plan
So remember, some day we'll meet again
Here on the other side

Repeat Chorus:

Set List

If we are doing shows we do a smaller amount of originals and concentrate on tried and tested covers like Save a Horse, Keith Urban, Johnny Cash, Cotton-Eyed Joe, Devil Went Down To Georgia, Brooks & Dunn.

At dances we do a mega variety of cover songs as well as originals. We also do tributes in costume to the music of O Brother Where Art Thou & ZZ Top. Sets can be 1 hour to a 1and 1/2 hour show. Depends on if it is dance or show. Typical show might be Origianal fiddle tune, Keith Urban song, Shania Twain song, Cotton Eyed Joe, Alan Jackson song, a 50's calssic or Elvis tune, Johnny Cash or "O Brother" tribute. ZZ Top Tribute. Save a Horse, Hick Town, Devil went down to Georgia, a selection by artists like George Jones, George Strait, Lone Star

We do too many songs to have a set list that we can show. We look at each crowd and determine what we think will hit them.
