The Hunstville, AL based "Band of Moose” is gaining notoriety with their debut CD “Music of our Lives”. The 8-song release features all original jam rock songs. “Band of Moose” music can be heard on WRTT FM95.1, “The Rocket” and at “www.moosetunes.com”. “Band of Moose” musical influences are: Dave Matthews Band, Umphrey’s McGee, moe, Widespread Panic, Ben Harper, Robert Randolph, and others. Band members are Will Smith, Keith Gray, Wesley Low, and Spencer Daniel. Musicianship and song-writing ability “beyond their years.” The Moose Band’s all-original 8-song release, “Music of our Lives”, features a blend of polished jam rock with a southern twist.

Will Smith is a scholarship member of Auburn University’s Drum Corp. Keith Gray attends Birmingham Southern College and is a member of his college golf team. Wesley Low and Spencer Daniel, both Junior’s at Huntsville High School and teammates on hockey and baseball teams. Spencer is also a performer in the Huntsville High Drama Dept.

As reported by the Huntsville Times, “Band of Moose” is “known for its balanced musical presentation, harmonic vocals and the smooth delivery of its jam rock style.” Jimbo Wood, then Program Director for WRTT-FM says “Those kids are writing music well beyond their years. Wow, they blew me away . . .” Wood said he played his personal favorite, “Music of Our Lives,” and got what he called an “overwhelming response” from his listeners. I was even getting truck drivers calling me and asking where they could get the song,” Wood said. “Their music reminds a little of Widespread Panic and the Allman Brothers. It’s a good-feeling happy jam band. It’s unique and positive and very impressive . . . They’ll be a force to be reckoned with.”
