Bio

Hailing from Canada, THE MORNING AFTER came together in steel-town, Hamilton, Ontario in December of 2007, brought together by tragic events. They rock in memory of those who believed in them. "What's right is what's left when everything goes wrong" says singer, Ben Clement.

Clement, (lead vocals, guitar, percussion), long time member of the Blind Melon tribute band, Speakermind, was inspired this past winter by the passing of his father, a progressive music guru, to come out from behind the kit and bare his soul. His vocals are evidence of this, haunting & raspy. The ache in his voice tells stories beyond his years. Dylan Matthews (lead guitar and vocals), has been playing guitar for 15 years, immersed in the roots of the blues and rock scene of British Columbia. He moved to Hamilton to attend Mohawk College for jazz guitar where he graduated and played in bands like Voodoo Chicken, Dr. Spock & the Three Finger Shock, and The Tewlips. Bringing up the low end is bassist Jeff Lazeo who brings more funk than James Brown on his worst night! Dabbling on the bass for the better part of 5 years, he makes a brutal rhythm team with drummer Dan Prosia. Prosia has been in the local Hamilton music scene since he was 15, either attending shows or crushing the skins in bands such as High on a Downside, Misnomer, Narcosis and Dark Sunrise. He also attended Mohawk for music and has been rocking the kit for 11 years!

"I have recently attended one of THE MORNING AFTER's performances and noticed that they drew a solid crowd which clearly enjoyed the show. There seems to be an enthusiasm with this band which is expressed both in their music and their drive to succeed." - Rob Rapiti, BLR Entertainment
