The Mother Lovers

This band is recording since 2009. Of course The Mother Lovers released their debut album 'From The Thumb' especially on Mother’s Day 2010. The album is a mixture of pop-rock, reggae, funk (check ‘discografie’ at www.themotherlovers.nl). The Mother Loving Train don’t stop, cause it brings new material to their show as well.

Right after they won the Drentse Popprijs 2010 and after having a good ear to From The Thumb in his stereo, Semmy Schilt (4-times K-1 World Champion) agreed to perform in their first video Sweet Madness (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-BMRuvwcOU). The band made up a promotion story about Schilts Champions belt being stolen. The stunt was revealed on 3FM radio, live at Giel Beelen, one of Holland’s most famous DJ’s.

Other videos they are now working on are Demons gone Shy, Cry no More and Pretty Side Effects. They will all be released this year. Their second video is ment to be released this January before the showcase festival Eurosonic. Here they will play at Shadrak (floor) from 22:15-23:00 hr, Friday 14th of January 2011. (Also playing at Café De Groote Griet in Groningen during Eurosonic from 2?:?? - ??:?? hr, Thursday 13th of January 2011 (Not a Eurosonic-stage!)
