Power pop? Rock and roll? Rock n’ pop extravaganza?
However you sum it up, The Motion is a tried and true musical mixture of 3 distinct individuals -- Steven Wolfson, Paul Riopelle and David Jenkins. Having forged their ‘unison’ at a very early age, they are now here to share their musical passion with the world with the release of their debut album, “Whatever Pleases You.”
The Motion is riding high. From extensive playing on the Los Angeles club circuit, to a recent performance for 2000 enthusiastic fans at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, AZ - all the while creating and churning out infectious tunes that don’t slip away easily… and why would you want them to??
David Wild, contributing editor of Rolling Stone magazine, says “These are 3 talented guys…I hear echoes of some bands I know and love like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jules and The Polar Bears and Fountains of Wayne, but mostly what I hear is true power pop written, sung and played with pride and passion.
