Local band The Movement took to the stage at the Pineapple Club on Saturday night with their brand of dance-rock akin to Kasabian and Stone Roses. There is an energy about this type of music that draws you in and with the night-club style beats provided by drummer Scott Harrower it didn’t take long for a portion of the crowd to start dancing. Lead Singer Mark McCormack has a Gallagher-esque swagger about him and captivated the 200 sell-out audience with his soulful hypnotic melodies. Being only their third gig the band have a good chemistry and looked very comfortable in front of a packed house. The stand- out song of the set was "Stop The Backwards" which has elements of various indie bands of the 90s but with a freshness that other local bands lack. The Movement are definitely one to watch! - Greenock Telegraph

Bio
When previous bands fell apart circa June'06 we got together and instantly found a chemistry and appreciation for the same kind of groove-laden music reminiscent of early Verve & Stone Roses.
The Movement was born. We quickly found somethings special, the ability to get in a room and jam without hardly having to say a word to each other and create some sort of magical atmosphere, a feeling, somethings we'v never felt in any other avenue of life. Music is life. We rely on the feeling of a song rather than trying to create some sort of predetermined sound. Just sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy, we are on a mission to bring back some proper tunes to the British music scene so get strapped in for the ride!
