Though "The Mug" may be a relatively new band in the Asheville area, the members are not. Based in Black Mountain, NC, "The Mug" has played venues both large and small throughout the Southeast.
The band is fronted by one of Asheville's Best Kept Secrets,
Brian "The Mug" Milstead. Brian has performed with such Blues icons as Jimmy Thackery, Tom Principato of The NightHawks, Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin and Big Bill Morganfield just to name a few. Born and raised in Asheville, Brian is a premier guitarist in his own right.
Other members include journeyman drummer Dave Soltis of the group "Rocket 88". Ex "Chairman Of the Board" keyboardist Harry Austraw and bassist extraordinaire, Bud Moore.
"The Mug" plays an energetic mix of original and classic Blues, Funk and Rock tunes guaranteed to get the crowd on their feet and yelling for more!
