Bio

Formed in Summer of 2010, The Music Box came to be by a single suggestion from Cody Ugnanst (bass) to come out and jam with good friends, Brian Wheeler (Drums) and Freddy Marschall (Guitar). From there, a rough demo of both Departures, as well as Reflections, was created. The four members knew from that moment that something special had been born. But, even after only a brief stint of shows, well received comments from the community, and fresh music on the way, the band decided to take a hiatus due to creative differences a few months after their birth.

A little over a year later, the band would re-group in Fall of 2011, writing two fresh songs in their first practice. The Music box's first demo would follow shortly after, as well as another demo soon after that, with a few shows to follow.

Near the end of Winter of 2011, after getting back on their feet, more recognition, and closer as a group, the band decided to take another hiatus due to creative differences, but would re-group shortly after the realization that there was something special about this project that they could find in no other. The friendships between band members, the jam sessions, the shows, the people they met, the experiences they shared, it was all too good to keep letting go.

As of Spring 2012, The Music Box has released their first EP, titled, I've Got A Feeling We're Not In Kansas Anymore, and with plans to work on, and release, their debut album in the coming months, the band could not be more content and thankful with their current state of being.
