During their LIVE on radio performance.. local San Antonio, Texas based band.. The MusikBox performed a minimal version of the classic Smiths Song: Death of a Disco Dancer! You can listen to the entire radio broadcast here:

They covered the song at the end of their set and dedicated it to KSYM 90.1's DJ & Underwriting Director .. Charlie Castleman.. a devout Morrissey fan himself.
As you can tell.. with GIRL IN A COMA also hailing from San Antonio, Texas.. and now The MusikBox covering this Smiths tune.. SAN ANTONIO, Texas has always had Huge Morrissey / Smiths fan base.. maybe it is time for Morrissey to come back to Good Ol' San Antone.... Just sayin'

The MusikBox project was revived mainly to recapture the essence of Gino's favorite musikal elements which include : Atmospheric Guitar, Melodic Bass, Trip Hop / Dance Drum Loops, some keys, and some Euphoric Vocals. We try to deliver the purest form of these elements through our musik.. and play as much as we can in a Live Environment for being a band of only 1 member..
At first listen.. for those with a certain ear.. The Musikbox will be totally reminiscent of : Cocteau Twins, Early New Order, Bauhaus, Joy Division, and other early 1980's British Post-Punk / Goth / New Wave bands.. this is in part due to the fact that these bands are our influences and definitely effects our musikal output & Direction!
We hope to get our musik out to the world and to turn a new generation of listeners on this sort of aesthetic musik that has been entombed and forgotten by most people .. due to the over saturation of stale pop music .. politics aside.. we hope we can turn on new ears to the sounds that only The MusikBox can provide.
