Bio

The three members of The Nailheads (Ritchy Nails-vocals, bass / Lucky-drums, back-ups / Milton-guitars, back-ups) hooked up in early 2008 and quickly began working on material. That Spring they released a 5 song E.P. titled “On The Run” and began playing live that Summer mostly concentrating on Montreal. During the rest of 2008 and 2009, they made a name for themselves in Quebec by performing live as often as possible sharing the stage with loads of respected local bands such as The Brains (Stomp Records), The Beatdown (Stomp), Bloodshot Bill (Norton Records) and Ripcordz (Union Label Group). As well as touring bands such as Static Thought (Hellcat Records) and the Legendary UK Subs (Captain Oi! Records)…ect…

In the summer of 2009, they embarked on a road trip through Quebec to Nova Scotia with Quebec Oi! band, Dockside Hookers (RIP, Longshot Records) to play a handful of shows. They returned to Montreal to finish recording their first full length album, People Killing People (Self-Released), which was produced by Rene Garcia and was nominated for Gamiq Awards Best Punk Rock Album of 2010. They shot 2 music videos to promote the album (Insurance Policy & Johnny Go Home).

In the summer of 2010, they did a small Tour through Ontario, Quebec and the East Coast of the US with Boston’s Burning Streets (Sailor’s Grave Records). Early 2011, additional rhythm guitarist, Raffy Mars joins the band. In February, The Nailheads film 2 live acoustic in-studio promo-videos for Valentine’s Day. On March 17th, The Nailheads played a St-Patrick’s Day Show with Stomp Record’s Ska band The Beatdown and Chicago’s Celtic Punk band Flatfoot 56. Following the show, original lead guitarist Milton leaves the band and Raffy takes up both lead and rhythm.

In the summer of 2011, The Nailheads did their first Cross-Canada Tour of 31 shows from the East to the West mostly with BC’s Kill Matilda. As well as sharing the stage with The Forgotten Rebels and SNFU’s Chi-Pig at his 49th Birthday Party in Edmonton. During the Tour they released a two-song single recorded by Frank Daniel Shooflar (Skip the Foreplay /Epitaph), the songs will be featured on their upcoming 2nd full-length which they are currently working on.

The stage is their home and playing live is what they do best and they don’t plan on quitting anytime soon.
They’re lifers.
