Urgent like any single, "You Want It Back Now" demonstrate The Name's giant steps. As well as in their lastest release (their "Assonance"EP), it's clear that those guys from Sorocaba don't measure their efforts make innovative music. Directed to the dance floor (could be Sao Paulo, NYC or Mars), "You Want It Back Now", "Put Me In" and the version of "Just An Illusion" sounds like a concentrated version of the EP that put the band in the radar of the new independent bands from Brazil. Throwing in the same mix a litlle bit of House (courtesy of Kurc, producer and DJ, possibly one of the great names that are going to shake 2010 - he mixed the disc), Post-Punk (echoes of PIL circa Metal Box , Liquid Liquid and others) and Electronic Classic Pop (New Order and the first phase of Fad Gadget), The Name didn't record just a single, but wrote a letter of intentions of what the band intends to be their first album, already planned for next year. Produced by Eduardo Ramos (Holger / Black Drawing Chalks / Stephanie Toth) and mixed by the already quoted Kurc, "You Want It Back Now" arrives at the right moment, moment which they prepare for a five date tour crossing São Paulo's countryside with the Canadian band Hollerado and get the results of the video for titlle track, in rotation in brazilian mtv. What's next?
