Bio

The Names are not some boy band poser act, they are 100% original. They are the real thing; a rarity in this age of pre-fab celebrity types. The Names will be around a lot longer than the current flash in the pan life cycle that has dominated the business for too long. They are full of that energy and charisma that has been missing from the landscape with rare exceptions. The Names are a living expression of what makes this music our greatest export in modern history; the inclusive nature of rock and roll, like a melodic form of democracy, based on inclusion and not exclusion. The Names are that distillation of cultures, musically, that give rock and roll it's uniqueness and passion. The Names are that collection of essential influences that are representative our modern history: Blues, Country, Western, Soul, Gospel, Rhythm & Blues, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, and even Vaudeville.

The Names are new and unique while seeming familiar at the same time.

The Names remind older audiences of when music was at a higher bar and blow away younger attendees with their attention to crafting a new sound with a lot of respect given to the backbeat.

The Names have a musical swagger which is undeniable when you hear them play.

The Names aren't art rock, punk rock, "indie", "alternative", or any other subdivision of rock: they make non-denominational rock and roll. The Names are here to stay.

The Names are putting their energies into the bottom line instead of worrying if they're cool or not.

The Names are influenced by everyone from Chuck Berry to Little Richard, The Staples Singers to Sonic Youth, The Rolling Stones to Booker T., Joe Tex to Iron and Wine, T Rex to Howlin' Wolf, The Kinks to Beck, Big Star to the Small Faces, Bob Dylan to Jimmy Rogers, Television to The James Gang, Gram Parsons to name a few...
