Bio

The Nathan Day Project is the brain child of singer/songwriter Nathaniel Deshpande. This act fuses both story telling and song in one of the most honest and intimate shows around.

Nathaniel Deshpande grew up in southern Ontario on a street where every other household had a musician occupying it. So it wasn't a huge stretch of the imagination when Nathaniel was drawn in and picked up his first guitar (a handy down from one of his neighbors) and began writing his own music (mostly due to his inability to play other artist's songs).

Playing quickly turned into recording and after only a year of playing Nathaniel released his first pop EP entitled "You're Here Now" which was more of a learning experience then anything else for the young musician. Two years later, after finishing high school, Nathaniel took a year off to explore more of the music industry and recorded a second EP. This time it was more of a polished project entitled "The Second Decade".

Now with his 2010 release, "The First Time", Nathaniel Deshpande is quickly growing recognition for his ability to not only deliver a unique intimate live act but as well he has pushed forward and worked towards duplicating it in the studio. The album is a collection of songs written over the past years of his life that talk about growing up and moving on.

This young artist has come a long way in the past few years but understands there's a lot more work to be done.
