Bio

The Navajo are a London based quartet, founded by Brixton resident brothers Oli Pikett (vocals, guitar) and Ed Pikett (drums) in early 2012. After meeting Oli at music school, Ans Ducrue (guitar) and Max Raguideau (bass, keyboards, vocals) quickly joined The Navajo to complete the line-up.

The band's sound draws on blues, rockabilly and surf rock, and its original songs could be described as Americana tinged rock. The music veers from epic soundscapes to rootsy blues, whilst always maintaining The Navajo's unique sound. The band's live shows are energetic and quirky.

The band's influences are broad, but include The Band, The Black Keys, Johnny Cash, The Doors and countless movies.

The Navajo have recorded five demos, both in a professional studio and at home. The most recent demo is Breathe For A Day.

The Navajo are currently gigging in London on a regular basis. Recent shows include a headline set at The Troubadour, the 12 Bar Club, The Comedy Pub and the Steam Museum. The band has forthcoming shows at the Rattlesnake, the Windmill and The Elgin in Feb and March 2013.

When not rehearsing or recording with The Navajo, Oli, Max and Ans are studying for degrees in music performance at Tech Music School.
