The Neighborhood Social

Born out of cubicles, Craigslist, and childhood, The Neighborhood Social are a 5-piece rock band based in New York City. We formed in the summer of 2007 and began playing live that December. We have since played numerous venues in NYC and on March 13th, 2009 released our first LP titled “Between Hay and Grass”. The music is rooted in the post-jam scene with a focus on lyric construction and tighter song structure. Our live shows are body-and-brain-engulfing engagements. We play mostly our own tunes, but we also let fans vote for cover songs. We include special guests. We have themes. And sometimes we wear costumes.
