Bio

Bassist singer Alex Karzis and guitarist singer Jim Bawks formerly of anglophile-Johnny Marr-loving band 33, met while slacking their way through Radio and TV Arts at a Toronto college in Canada. Jack Lenz (composer of The Passion of The Christ, and former Loggins and Messina keyboard player) discovered Alex and Jim, and have been getting them a growing string of tv song credits.

Guitarist singer Damian Seguin from local pop spawn Itsa Skitsa (featuring former punk Demic Iain Staines) came along later to start writing tunes with them. Damian spent several years writing Off Off Lower East Side experimental stuff with music factory Lilhumanintervention whose epic canon of cds will probably get released on some crazy underground Belgium label, and which may explain some “eccentricities” in his songwriting.

After a stint with local tin drubber and all around good-time-bloke, Ken Horne (of cool indie band Cottage Industry), the band enlisted the help of Jeff Rogers (Crash Test Dummies former manager), and found sardonic beatnik Brad Hart to pound tubs. Brad also sings a bit, and plays most of the band's instruments just a wee bit too well, and is, like most of the band, left-handed. In the last few months keyboardist and sometimes bassist (right-handed, for a change) Patrick Corbett has come on board, he is back on the boards after a break, his last project was Blanche.
