The New Era

 Memphis, Tennessee, USA

Many people say this but in this case it’s true: that The New Era’s music is truly different than what modern rock bands are doing today. –Andy Newton (Songwriting Instructor at Visible Music College)

The New Era is Jerome Sheldon and friends. Jerome moved from rural Southampton, New Jersey to Memphis, Tennessee to take his music career to the next level. He writes songs about real life and love. Jerome has played in bands like 490 Spoons, MLINMO, Canada Road, Tidal Drive, and Autumn Fox. He has shared the stage with Jeremy Horn, Ryan Cabrera, and Luna Halo before the New Era hit the South Jersey scene in 2010. With styles ranging from alternative/rock to indie/rock The New Era is definitely a band to look out for.

The New Era’s self-titled EP was record at Avowal Music Production in Memphis, Tennessee and released on September 1, 2010 and can be found on iTunes. With Wes Leyshon as producer and on violin, Kirk Smith on keys, Michael Mountford on drums, Stephen Addkinson on bass, Thomas Bryant on back-round vocals, and Brittany Betts on trumpet.
