"A striking parallel to the bands idea of style fusion is the mixture of the actual people making the music. These four characters have done well in combining their personalities and musical interests into their new collection of recordings. Whether it is from their creative style of writing music or just them being themselves this band is a sure concentration of entertainment." - Phil Cole - Local Radar Magazine

Bio

The New Sabrosa has been playing together for two years now, and their maturity bleeds through into their music. When Dave Jamil, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitar sings, one cant help but listen. Whether its his intimidating figure (he stands tall at 6 foot 3 inches) or his powerful voice, there is some quality that makes it impossible to turn away. When he sings, one cant help but be captivated. On lead guitar is a flannel sporting Sean McKenzie, whose guitar work swirls and bites along with the hectic but sometimes atmospheric rhythm of their songs. Bass player Jon Bradley, for one thing, puts on quite a show when playing live. His energy and foot pounding passion is unmatched and will keep the fans coming back for more. Finally, on drums is Tim Grabarski, who like an author, keeps an articulate beat that is immediately brought to the forefront and just as seamlessly slips away, waiting for the nearest chance to jump out. All together, classifying the band under one genre could be somewhat difficult. Their style encompasses such genres as indie, rock, blues, sometimes with the addition of a classic southern rock tinge. Maybe one might say progressive post-indie rock.
They have toured extensively in and around New Jersey, and have played venues such as Cambridge, Massachusetts The Middle East and NYCs Lit Lounge. With them, they bring a steadfast fan base, and win more over each night. They are currently writing a full length LP and would like to have it done within the coming months.
