Formed in 2007 in the California North Bay, The New Sol has exploded onto the music scene with dynamic live performances and is quickly becoming a favorite among serious music lovers. Comprised of 5 accomplished musicians with a diverse range of musical backgrounds, The New Sol delivers a groove that blurs the lines of rock, funk, jazz and soul. Wrapped up in intelligence and delivered with conviction, the music of The New Sol will have your body moving, while expanding your heart and mind.
In early 2008, The New Sol released a six song EP, that to date, through sales from live performances and the Internet, has sold thousands. They are currently recording a full length CD due to be released in spring of 2009. Both recordings were composed, produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by The New Sol.
With the rise of popularity and determination of this band, 2009 promises to be a successful and busy year for these musicians. Whether it is through live or radio performance, CD or video, experiencing the soul and depth of The New Sol is a must!
