THE NEW WAVEFORMS have captured the essence of exceptional songwriting on songs such as Darkness & The Truth They Know. There is something that stands out about THE NEW WAVEFORMS' overall sound and image. I think part of the uniqueness of it is the dual vocal aspect. Starla's innocent, and angelic vocals are as smooth and silky as kashmere; and yet somehow the gritty & distorted vocals that Rockwave emits seem to balance the mood out from soft and meloncholy to grungy and aggressive. THE NEW WAVEFORMS are a politically charged, Gothic-Industrial band that hail from Denver, CO. The secret ingredients to this unique Alternative/Industrial sound consist of two singer/songwriters (Rockwave and Starla) and their world awakening vision. Along with the recent addition of two other essential ingredients (Sonnie and The Unseen) THE NEW WAVEFORMS are getting ready to launch their first national tour in the summer of 2009.
SOUND is created by vibratory activity, in a given space, which results in a WAVEFORM. Therefore, waveforms are all around us, invisibly, affecting our sensory and unconscious awareness. To create "NEW WAVEFORMS" is to feel vibrations around you and shape them into what you want them to be; to awaken your senses and open your mind.
